Wildlife detecting

In this session, the children became detectives to discover what kinds of wildlife are sharing our school grounds.  They noticed abandoned birds' nests, nibbled leaves and holes in trees.  They found slugs' eggs, ladybird larvae and a shield beetle.  They also enjoyed collecting seeds of poppies and broad beans in the KS1 allotments.
